About Galena:
Galena, aka "lead glance" is a lead sulfide mineral, that forms bright metallic silver. Galena is probably the most important ore of lead currently being mined and is an important source of silver.
About Sphalerite:
Sphalerite is a Zinc Ore which is why it appears bright red to almost a dirty yellow. The Zinc content is so high it has become a valuable ore as well as a stunning collector piece.
About Chalcopyrite:
Chalcopyrite is a copper sulfide mineral and a major source of copper ore. Chalcopyrite is disseminated in igneous rocks, and commonly found with sulfur deposits.
This wonderful specimen shows a wife variety of metal ores including lead, silver, zinc and copper.
