How it works:
Get an egg carton (we call them crystal cartons) and a map from Crystal Barista! He’s the clues on the front and the back of the map to find booths that have free rock, mineral, fossil, and crystals for those with the egg carton! Then take your rock carton and map and enjoy the scavenger hunt around the show to find 12 samples!

What is there to do at the Crystal Festival
Vendors
Shop over 30 vendors and depending on the show as many as 70 vendors! From specialized vendors focusing on cabochons, raw, slabs, beads, minerals or carvings, to vendors who have traveled across the country or even from Mexico there is something for everyone.
Networking
Get your rocks and mienrals identified in our This Old Rock Roadshow Corner, meet mine owners, lapidary artists, wire wrap instructors, join online geology classes or sign up for rockhounding tours! If you have questions we have someone to help!
Activities
We have people here to help identify rocks and minerals, children's activities, classes and workshops, the ability to schedule classes and workshops for your own private event, online geology classes, scout presentations, & so much more!

Types/variations of fossils
Geologic and fossil evidence that have allowed scientists to piece together the history of the earth (examples of the rock cycle and the story told by each kind of rock; story told by fossils about the local conditions on earth at the time the animal or plant was alive).
Prehistoric monsters of the land, sea and air.
