Chiastolite has a natural cross within the crystal. These have baffled scientists and amazed collectors for centuries. When a crystal is found it is in the shape of a loaf of bread measuring about 25 x 25 x 100 mm. When sliced up like a loaf of bread, it shows the crosses which will vary from the ends toward the center in shape.
